Chromite (#396)

Fellow Microanalyst :

We have recently re-examined the preliminary analysis of standard # 396 (chromite U.C. 523-9) and have concluded that an adjustment was necessary. An analysis of USNM chromite 117075 was performed to test the accuracy of the x-ray measurement using pure oxide standards (Fe3O4 for Fe ka, Al2O3 for Al ka, Cr2O3 for Cr ka, and MgO for Mg ka) and is shown here :
